A 34-year-old UK doctor named Simon Abraham was found guilty of sexually assaulting a female patient. He claimed to have specialized in Indian massage for two years.
The victim sought treatment for severe headaches at the Eastbourne District General Hospital in October 2020. Abraham, taking advantage of the situation, convinced her to let him visit her home for a massage.
During the massage, he sexually assaulted her, but the crime was interrupted when another person arrived. Even after the incident, Abraham continued to contact the woman, which prompted her to report the matter to the hospital and the police, leading to his arrest and trial.
After a four-day trial in May, Abraham was convicted of sexual assault at Chichester Crown Court and received an 18-month prison sentence. Additionally, he will be on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
