US Elections: Must Watch Dates, Events, & States!

This year’s election has seen its fair share of drama and controversies. From two assassination attempts against Donald Trump to Joe Biden making way for Kamala Harris as his successor, it has all been leading up to the final mandate by the end of the year.

The voter turnout usually stands at about two-thirds of the 244 million Americans eligible to vote on November 5. In-person voting in some states has already begun since September 20 and postal votes will continue to be accepted till November 25.

However, in what might be one of the closest fought US elections, the key to the White House might be in the hands of a few states. That is why both candidates are majorly focussing on the seven battleground states in the dying days of the election season.

The electoral college will cast its votes on December 11 and on the dreaded anniversary of US Capitol riots, January 6, 2025, the official counting of these votes will commence.

While we will have an idea by the end of the year, America’s new president will officially assume the role in the White House on January 20, 2025.
