An infant tragically lost its life, while three members of an Indian-origin family were left injured following a car crash in the US.
The family, originally from Telangana, consisted of parents Kommareddy Susheel and Bommidi Anusha, both software developers, and their two sons.
The accident occurred in Florida as the family was returning from Cranial Facial Therapy for their 11-year-old son, Advaith.
While attempting to overtake another vehicle, their car veered off the highway, ultimately colliding with two trees.
The infant was rushed to a hospital in Tallahassee but, sadly, passed away on April 2nd.
The parents and elder son sustained severe injuries and were hospitalized in Dothan, Alabama.
Susheel and Advaith were admitted to the ICU, while Anusha suffered fractures to her left leg and face.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the family’s car lost control while overtaking another vehicle, resulting in the tragic accident. Despite efforts to airlift the toddler to Tallahassee for treatment, the injuries proved fatal.
The family’s ordeal has prompted support, with a fundraising campaign initiated to aid with medical expenses.
Susheel and Advaith are battling severe head injuries, while Anusha continues her recovery from multiple fractures.
