USCIS Crackdown: Deportation Over Online Posts?

USCIS Crackdown

The US has found a new way to target immigrants. This time, your private social media could become government property.

USCIS just announced it will start scanning aliens’ (non-citizens’) posts for anything it labels “antisemitic.” This includes Green Card applicants, F-1 students, H-1B techies, and even university staff.

Like the SEVIS terminations, this will likely be driven by AI with almost no human oversight. That means errors, false flags, and deportations based on vague or misread posts.

If racism is really the concern, why are only immigrants being targeted? Trump seems to have given American citizens the green light while Indians face growing hostility every day.

It’s even more ironic when you realize Elon Musk, Trump’s ally, has made his platform X (formerly Twitter) a hub for “free speech.” But now, that same platform might be used to spy on immigrants.

This isn’t about preventing hate or violence. It’s about silencing people the government doesn’t agree with.

Today it’s antisemitism. Tomorrow it could be anti-war protests, criticism of US policy, or just anything “anti-American.”

We’ve already seen with F-1 visa terminations how Indian students are being punished overnight without warning. How much more trouble this new ruling brings, only time will tell.
