Indian students are unable to get even one internship this summer in the United States, due to slowdown in job growth. Even Ivy League Universities have failed to land internships this summer.
Now it’s known by everyone that internships are the most important degree you have to have, in order to get a good job.
Now the main problem for this issue is Global Economic Slowdown, for this reason entry level jobs are hard to get.
Another big reason for this lack of job opportunities is the tendency of the companies to hire local students. For that reason, Indian students who are living there are facing multiple problems. Because they aren’t getting the job, but with each passing day the cost of living is increasing.
Indians in top US colleges like NYU Stern, University of Pennsylvania and University of Texas , are struggling to get a job. Things are going out of hand so much that they are seeking help to get placed in India.
This year even landing jobs from a science background is hard, which were high on demand during the time of Covid 19.
A 22 year old from Harvard said that he applied to multiple companies for the past six months but hasn’t cracked any yet.
It seems like the dream of having a good job in the US will stay as a dream only for Indians.
