Bala’s last movie was Varmaa, starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead, which is an official remake of Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. This movie was shelved in the final stages as the production house was not satisfied with the outcome of the movie, and the actor’s father, Vikram, was also not satisfied with the outcome and shelved the project.
Later in the year 2022, Bala announced that he was going to direct a movie titled Vanangaan, starring Suriya in the lead and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment Productions. However, due to some issues between the actor and the director, Suriya walked out of this movie. Later, Arun Vijay entered this project, and the shooting happened under Bala’s B Studios production and Suresh Kamatchi’s V House production.
Four months ago, the teaser of this movie was released and acquired lots of positive responses, as it has the finest Bala’s typical raw elements and created huge expectations for this movie. The movie was planned to be released in August. The trailer for this movie was going to be released on July 8th at 6 p.m.; this was confirmed by a poster released by the production houses. The whole Tamil cinema audience is waiting for what Bala has come up with Vanangaan.
