Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar was one of the most promising films of 2024. With Dulquer’s charm mixed with Venky Atluri’s direction, the film had a solid run in the theatres and, according to media reports, earned Rs 115.05 crore worldwide.
While its theatrical run was good, it got a much better response from the OTT audience. It ranked as the second most-watched film on Netflix!
The Telugu-language crime thriller was released on Netflix on November 28, 2024.
In its first week of release on the platform, the movie got 5.1 million views and ranked 2nd in its global top 10 list. Its highest viewing so far was in week two where it got 6.6 million views.
In its fifth week, from December 23 to 29, media reports show that Lucky Baskhar received 1.5 million views and 3.8 million viewing hours. It ranked fifth among the top 10 trending non-English films worldwide.
So far, it has gotten 18.4 Million Views, getting it the second place in the most viewed Indian film on Netflix list in 2024.
Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja was the most-viewed Indian film on Netflix in 2024.
But Lucky Bhaskar was close to the first position, lacking by only 1.3 million views.
But Maharaja has been on the platform for about 7 weeks, whereas Lucky Bhaskar has been there for only 5.
If the movie keeps performing at this rate, it can surely cross the viewings of Maharaja in no time!
