Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ has been doing pretty well for itself in the theatres, with positive word-of-mouth working continuously in favour of the film.
With the day 8 collection exceeding Rs. 21 Crores, and collection for 2nd Saturday aiming for even bigger numbers going by trade reports, the film is looking as strong as ever at the Box Office.

With ‘Chhaava’ only having a Hindi release in theatres, the public has begun to wonder about the film’s OTT release. If reports are to be believed, streaming platform Netflix is going to host the film as soon as its theatrical release comes to an end.
Abiding by the rules of ‘The Multiplex Association of India’, there must be a gap of 8 weeks between a film’s theatrical and OTT releases.

A production house has to follow these rules to avoid missing out on future releases in major chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis.
As Chhaava made its theatrical release on 14th February, the 8-week gap means that the film is likely to make its OTT release around 10th or 11th April 2025.

However, seeing the current popularity of the film, the producers might just want to extend its theatrical run by a few more weeks. If we add an extra 2-week period to it, the film will hit the OTT world by the 24th or 25th of April.
With speculations at an all-time high, it will be interesting to see what route the makers decide to take regarding the OTT release date.
Whatever might be the case, the film’s ongoing theatrical run only goes on to prove its craze, which will definitely work to its benefit whenever it makes its release on OTT.
