Hotstar is one of the leading OTT platforms in India. For the past few years, Hotstar hasn’t gone well in South. Recently, Hotstar is concentrating more on its comeback by claiming regional series and also by producing it.
Hotstar, which almost lost its viewers in the south, has done a major comeback by obtaining the OTT rights of Malayalam movies Manjummel Boys and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. Although it has steady viewers based on the TV series and shows telecasts on the Star Vijay channel, its major market was based on the movies.

Recently, Hotstar has produced and released a Tamil web series titled Uppu Puli Kaaram, starring emerging actors. Now it’s going to release yet another Tamil series named Chutney Sambar starring Yogi Babu in the lead, and it also consists of some noticable actors such as Vani Bhojan and Nithin Sathya. This web series was directed by Radha Mohan. This series consists of 6 episodes and will be streaming on Hotstar from July 26th.
Few days ago, a teaser of this series was released and looks like a comedy-emotional series with lots of fresh talents. Let’s see whether this series satisfies the viewers pulse on July 26th.
