The trailer for Netflix’s ‘Dabba Cartel’ came out yesterday and the plot looks quite intriguing. A group of five women who manage a dabba chain and also run a drug cartel under its shadow. In a way, it can be the Indian Breaking Bad led by women stars.
It seems the show has great potential but is not getting the hype that it deserves. Dabba Cartel is backed by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment that is known for wonderful stories like Mirzapur. The cast has powerful actors like Jyothika and Shabana Azmi.
But despite being such high value content, Dabba Cartel fails to create a good buzz and people on social media are very silent about it.
There are almost no posts on X or Instagram regarding the show and the only engagement it is getting is probably from the comments on the trailer.
This is disappointing because people usually complain about the lack of actually good shows with good actors in it and now that a potentially good show is coming, there is no noise at all.
If Netflix markets the show with some more seriousness there is a possibility that it can go on to be the next big thing on Indian OTT.
