If a film is a hit, it may take more than four weeks to premiere on an OTT platform. For a flop film, it takes less than four weeks to land on a streaming platform.
Recently, Priyadarshi and Nabha Natesh featured in the comedy entertainer, Darling. Directed by Aswin Raam, the movie was released on July 19.
Despite a decent buzz, Darling failed to impress the audience and ended up as a disaster at the box office. Now, it is landing on OTT in less than four weeks of its release.
Darling will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on August 13, exactly 24 days after its release. Those who missed watching the movie in theatres can catch it on Disney+ Hotstar during Independence Day week.
Darling tells the story of a married man who is stuck with a wife suffering from multiple personality disorder. The film had a promising outline but couldn’t generate entertainment in theatres.
