Dulquer Salmaan desperately needed a comeback after his recent disaster King of Kotha. Aiming to make his fans happy, Dulquer’s Lucky Baskhar looked promising and was a decent success theatrically.
While the film was not released in Hindi over theatres, many fans missed the opportunity to witness his brilliance in theatres. As the OTT release date approached, everyone expected it to have a similar experience and have a decent release.

However, things changed for Dulquer upon arriving at Netflix. After arriving on Netflix on November 28, 2024, nothing seemed to stop the crime drama as it has been a blockbuster in the OTT realm.
As things stand, three weeks after its digital release, the film has garnered around 14.9 Million views over the OTT giant according to several reports.

It has surpassed high-octane films like Kalki and Devara becoming one of the most watched South-Indian films of all time.
Lucky Baskhar debuted on the platform with a staggering 5 Million views in its debut week ranking it 2nd on the platform’s global list of non-English movies and 1st on the list of South Indian films released over the OTT platform in 2024.

What is surprising is the performance it is putting out over the Hindi belt as it has received a good amount of viewership from North India.
As it continues its dreamy run, it remains to be seen how long it maintains the top position breaking more records hence gaining massive viewership in the upcoming weeks.
