Prithviraj’s I Nobody directed by Nissam Basheer was released in theatres on 9th July and has received mixed responses from both audiences and critics.
Since its announcement, the film generated good pre-release hype among the audience and many people believed it would emerge as a blockbuster success, giving Prithviraj a massive comeback. However, due to the mixed response, I Nobody ended its theatrical run with a disaster status.
Following its terrible theatrical run, I Nobody started streaming on the JioHotstar OTT platform on 25th August in 5 languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. People who missed watching it in theatres are now watching the film on OTT and sharing their responses on social media.
They suggest that the plotline of I Nobody was solid, but director Nissam Basheer wasted it with a poor screenplay. They note that while the first half of the film was really good and gripping, the second half was a major letdown, as it failed to hold their interest and felt draggy.
Also, they claimed that despite the good performance by Prithviraj and the stunning visuals, the logical flaws and poor second half caused I Nobody to end up as an average film.
Meanwhile, a few people claim that I Nobody is a decent heist thriller and suggest that it was definitely not a bad film. They note that, including the heist sequence in the first half, the film has lots of positives and if people watch it without any expectations, I Nobody will definitely not disappoint them.
Ultimately, with mixed reviews from OTT audiences as well, it remains to be seen how I Nobody is going to perform on the platform and whether it manages to acquire a decent number of viewers in the coming days.
