Again and again, JioHotstar is facing backlash from viewers and subscribers, but this time it’s not about the audio quality , poor streaming experience or even the ads problem.

This is about what we can call deceiving the subscribers, the OTT platform is currently displaying the film “Jurassic World Rebirth ” which is an iconic movie, as available to stream.

But when users are clicking on the title, hoping to watch the movie, they are taken to the BTS scenes or rather how the movie was made. Which is not at all mentioned in the title that this is not the actual movie but the making of it.

For a platform that charges for its content, such misleading titles on the legitimate home screen is making the viewers frustrated for obvious reasons.

X is flooded with disappointing comments, some are calling it a marketing gimmick.

Subscribers deserve transparency. Displaying a film as “available” only to offer something entirely different breaches the trust.

If someone wants to watch a documentary then they themselves will click on it, but in this case people wanted to watch the movie but instead they were directed to watch a documentary which they didn’t want to watch.

JioHotstar must take immediate steps to rectify the mistake.
