The mastermind director behind Aamir, Raid and No One Killed Jessica, Raj Kumar Gupta now brings a web series exclusively premiering on Jio Cinema. Pill starring Riteish Deshmukh in lead role amongst Pavan Malhotra, Anshul Chauhan and Akshat Chauhan is all set for our small screens.
The series will release on 12 July and it focuses on the dark world of big pharmaceutical companies. It traces the journey of medicines from capital generating industries to the patients. And how they take advantage of the common masses with their deceit in an attempt to make money.
The series deals with a serious issue but we are yet to see how it is handled. In the trailer we can hear Riteish Deshmukh questioning the deaths of thousands caused by fake or low quality drugs. The premise makes us think of the dark reality of this world.
It is the first time that fans will be seeing Riteish leading a series on OTT platform. In the past we have seen many such series revealing the hidden truth of several industries and they we received well, Kota Factory, Inside Edge, and Asur are some of them. We are yet to see how well Pill captivates the viewers.
