
Prime Video’s ‘Khauf’ is getting some good appreciation from audiences now. The show is directed by Pankaj Kumar, Surya Balakrishnan answer written by Smita Singh.
We do not usually see many good horror shows from Indian OTT. In recent years, the theatrical business that horror movies have shown is really exceptional, and as a genre it is more successful than any other now. But in OTT, the success ratio is surprisingly low. And Khauf seems like a first step towards a change.

Previously there have been Hindi shows like Dahan, Bhram, Adhura but they were as critically appreciated as Khauf. Khauf brings the horror of reality that Indian women have to face everyday and intensifies it with the supernatural, much like it was done in Bulbbul.
OTT projects like Bulbbul and Betaal have worked out really well in the past but there have not been many stories like this recently and Khauf presents itself in the same vein as these stories.

Laden with wonderful performances and a great script, Khauf will hopefully pave the way for more interesting and awe-inspiring horror projects from Indian OTT in near future.
