After what have been a reasonably decent, last couple of weeks, the upcoming week is going to be rather dry for the Indian OTT audience. There are a fair few releases, but not many of them have a domesticated vibe. But nevertheless, here is a look at the kind of options that are on offer.
Critical: Between Life and Death
This is a reality based Netflix Original show that covers the kind of situations that come up in the medical field. From critical emergencies to the operating room, this documentary series follows London’s trauma centres as they treat the most severely injured. It will stream on Netflix from July 23.
Washington Black
11-year-old George Washington “Wash” Black embarks on a globe-trotting journey of identity after fleeing a Barbados sugar plantation aboard a flying machine in the company of his master’s eccentric inventor brother, the plot reads. This drama will be streaming on JioHotstar from July 23.
Mandala Murders
This crime drama show will be screaming on Netflix from July 24, and it has Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor in the lead role. Two detectives stumble into a dark underworld where murders are part of a sinister centuries-old secret society’s plan, the plot reads.
Sarzameen
Another JioHotstar original on the list and this time it has a lot of star power, including Malayalam, superstar, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Bollywood actress Kajol along with Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim. A family, in the middle of a rising insurgency in Kashmir, and a terrible secret linking the two, the plot reads. It will stream on JioHotstar from July 25.
Show Time
Finally, a notable option for the Telugu audience in the form of Show Time. The plot for this aha, original reads “Show Time” is a gripping thriller that explores how an accidental murder shatters the lives of a middle-class family. The story follows a seemingly ordinary family whose world turns upside down when a momentary lapse in judgment leads to an unintended crime.” It will stream from July 25.
