Patrick McKay and JD Payne have signed a three year deal with Amazon MGM Studios, for making the new season of “The Lord Of The Rings : The Rings Of Power” .
“The Ring Of Power” which debuted in the fall of 2022, stands as Amazon’s most watched original series, and during the week of its initial run it ranked in Top 4 in Nielsen’s Streaming.
The head of television Amazon MGM Studios said, “We began this journey with JD and Patrick more than five years ago and have never looked back”. The shooting of season two is done and the season will probably release later this year. Although, there is no official news of confirmation for the third season.
JD And Patrick said in a recent interview that they are very much excited for the prime members to experience season two of this epic fantasy drama. Naturally, the studio is thrilled to extend the overall deal with these brilliant creative minds. They have also said that the amount of detailing JD and Patrick did for season two Is beyond imagination, it will truly be a big project.
Critics have pointed out that, “people are very protective about Tolkien’s work, but this series gave a new depth to the story line”. In IMDB it mostly got 8 and 8.5 and in Rotten Tomato it’s 85% fresh.
