Actress Shilpa Shirodkar is currently appearing as a contestant in the ongoing season of Bigg Boss. For all those who are unaware of this, her brother-in-law is Mahesh Babu, who is married to Shilpa’s sister and former actress Namrata.

All the celebrities who have participated in the popular reality show have gained recognition over the years for accumulating a high number of payments throughout their stay.
As per the latest update, Shilpa is reportedly getting a fee of Rs. 1.40 crores for seven weeks, summing up to almost 49 days. This means that Shilpa is getting almost 2.8 lakhs per day and approximately 19.6 lakhs every week.

The news arrives at a time when a video of a conversation between Shilpa and co-contestant Karanveer Mehra has gone viral on different platforms.
The clip features the duo addressing that they have completed seven weeks and Karan suddenly questions her if she has collected 1 crore 40 lakhs so far. While Shilpa tells Karan to remain silent, the latter says that he keeps on counting the same.

The latest reports are surprising considering that other popular faces from television are currently a part of the show, including Vivian Dsena.
But this does not mean that the other participants are not getting anything at all. There could be a little bit of difference in the numbers, but the rest remains the same.
It seems like the news of Shilpa receiving the highest pay could be a strategy to bring more viewership for the show, which is being mostly watched on Jio Cinema nowadays.
Notably, a few sources have already claimed that TRPs are not up to the mark compared to the previous seasons.
On the other hand, Mahesh is also doing a film with S.S. Rajamouli, the details of which are being kept hidden from the public for now. So there is a possibility that Shilpa’s links to a show hosted by Salman Khan might help the film to get a big opening.
