The popular OTT platform Netflix has also been exploring the video game sector, and recent developments indicate they are on board for this new venture.
“Minecraft,” an iconic 3D sandbox game beloved by many since 2009, is soon going to be transformed into a new animated series in collaboration with Netflix. This was recently announced on Netflix’s YouTube channel with a small glimpse of the show.
Being produced by WildBrain Studios, known for “Sonic Prime” and “Ninjago,” the series will feature fresh characters and a completely new storyline while maintaining the themes and style of Minecraft. This announcement has excited fans eagerly anticipating the show. Other than there is also a Warner Bros production live action movie of Minecraft in the making which will release in 2025.
This isn’t the first time a show has been made based on a popular game. Just last year, we saw “The Super Mario Bros,” which was an adaptation of the popular video game.
