After somehow impressing the audience on the big screen, Jr. NTR’s Devara Part 1 has now created a different record following its arrival on OTT. It’s been three weeks since the action drama came on Netflix and has accumulated almost 5.8 million views.

However, the Hindi version was released earlier this week and despite that, the film maintains a position on the top 5 global trending charts of the streaming platform.

According to a few media reports, the film received 1.9 million views last week and there has been a slight drop, with a figure of 1.7 million against 4.8 million viewing hours.

Although Devara reached the top 5 global charts this week, it was on the 7th spot in the list of titles that were trending globally. The film eventually jumped off to the 6th position in the same list the following week.

The film is now in the fourth position of the global top 10 trending non-English films chart in the third week. It seems like more records are supposed to be created considering the response the film has received so far on OTT.

It has dethroned a few more recent OTT arrivals, starting with Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, as per the media reports.

Apart from Devara, the top 5 most viewed South films on Netflix include Maharaja, Kalki 2898 AD, Indian 2, and The Greatest Of All Time.

Devara managed to collect more than Rs. 300 crores at the box office following its release in September this year. A sequel is already on the way, which was confirmed a long time before the arrival of the first film.

As per the latest updates, Jr. NTR stated in an interview that the sequel will take some more time, adding that it is ready and the extra time they are taking would be to ensure that they can leave an impression on the audience.
