Prabhas’s Salaar had its grand theatrical release today and here is an interesting update on the OTT streaming partner of the mass actioner.
Coming the official OTT streaming partners of Salaar, the film has sealed Netflix as its official OTT streaming partner. The same is confirmed in the theatrical screening of the film.
Salaar will be streaming in multiple languages as the all-language OTT rights of the film are with Netflix.
All of Prabhas’s recent films had the OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video and the same with Prashanth Neel’s previous films, KGF 1&2 but for a change, Salaar has gone for Netflix. Needless to say, Netflix would’ve brought the OTT rights of the actioner for a fancy price.
It has to be seen if Salaar will be given a conventional 4-week release on OTT or if it will be a delayed one. It has to be seen how Netflix will operate with this OTT release window.
KGF was a biggie for Amazon Prime and it clicked very well. Can Salaar be such a cornerstone film for Netflix?
