“Criminal Justice” has not been just another series for Disney+ Hotstar. It was their first big investment in original shows, and it fared well. The first season, starring Pankaj Tripathi and Vikrant Massey, became one of the most critically acclaimed shows of 2019. It opened up new possibilities for producing originals for Disney+ Hotstar.
The show, originally based on a British series of the same name, returned with another season titled “Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors.” This season focused on a case of domestic violence and starred actors like Kirti Kulhari and Anupriya Goenka. Like the first season, it was also well received by the audience and sparked a new debate regarding the topic it dealt with.
Season 3, titled “Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach,” revolved around the murder of a child actress at an event and followed the aftermath of the incident. Unlike the previous two seasons, this one was criticized for dragging the story too much.
Now, the makers are returning with the 4th season. It is being said that they will cast people who have been part of the earlier seasons. It will be interesting to see how this new season performs.
