We have always found a great intrigue for detective tales in cinema be it Faluda, Bobby Jasoos or Vidya Balan’s Kahani. Now fans can brace themselves for a desi Sherlock Holmes played by none other than KK Menon!

Directed by Rohan Sippy and Sirjit Mukherjee the BBC Studios produced show will be called Shekhar Home. BBC Studios was also behind the superhit British series Sherlock. The first motion poster was released on Instagram and KK Menon can be seen in an intense look. After being recently seen on The Railway Men, KK Menon is ready to sway the fans with his deductions and thrilling crime adventures. Fans would keep their eyes peeled for the first look of Sherlock’s partner John Watson in this Desi recasting.
The show also has stars like Rasika Dugal, Ranveer Shorey, Kriti Kulhari, Usha Uthup and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. The Indian detective fiction fans can’t wait for the release of the show on Jio Cinema. If handled with finesse the show can have great impact on fans in India as well as abroad. It shall be revealed soon how much buzz it can create amongst the desi Sherlockians!
