Netflix has announced the release date and trailer for its upcoming animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85. The platform is expanding the popular Stranger Things universe with this new project.
The series is scheduled to premiere on April 23, 2026. It arrives after the original show concluded with its fifth season in 2025.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the main series. The story takes place during winter when the Hawkins group believes the Upside Down is sealed.
However, frozen creatures begin to return from the parallel dimension. This forces the group to face a new threat and protect their town once again.
The series includes familiar characters like Eleven, Mike, Dustin, and Max. However, the original live-action actors will not return for voice roles.
A new voice cast has been introduced for the animated series. It includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, and Elisha “EJ” Williams.
Other voice actors include Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Robert Englund. The cast brings a fresh take to the well-known characters.
The series is led by Eric Robles as showrunner and executive producer. Creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer are also attached as executive producers.
Stranger Things has remained popular for its engaging story and memorable characters. The franchise has built a strong global fan base over the years.
