After a successful season 3 of Panchayat on Prime Videos, TVF is all set to launch another show right from the heartlands of the city titled Gram Chikitsalaya.
Another comedy-drama, this series is the story of a city doctor who goes to work in a public health centre in a small town.
The series is said to be a tale of self-discovery, unexpected friendships and strange situations related to the struggle to adapt to a new place.
Amol Parashar, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, Garima Vikrant Singh, Vinay Pathak and Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor will be seen in lead roles in this series.
While the shooting for the film is currently underway, Prime Videos shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the sets of Gram Chikitsalaya. The funny captions said, “Images of the Gram, for the gram”.
TVF has built a brand of its own over the years solely by producing shows that have naturality and are relatable while still retaining their own uniqueness.
It has given the public some amazing masterpieces like Kota Factory, Gullak, Panchayat, and Aspirants, just to name a few.
These projects were loved by the people, elevating the level of expectations from TVF.
While Gram Chikitsalaya seems promising, is TVF overdoing the city-boy-in-a-village trope?
The theme seems quite similar to Panchayat, just a difference in the setting.
It seems as if TVF has found the emotional nerve and has been striking it repeatedly.
While they have been making stories that connect to a more rural audience as well, are fans done with watching the repeated format again and again?
We can only tell based on the performance of Gram Chikitsalaya.
