Vijay Sethupathi Disaster Ace on OTT

Vijay Sethupathi’s Ace, directed by Arumuga Kumar, hit theaters on May 23rd, garnering a mixed bag of responses from both audiences and critics.

Following its underwhelming theatrical run, Ace has now started streaming on the Amazon Prime OTT platform last night in Two languages such as Tamil and Telugu.

During its theatrical release, many trade experts had raised criticisms against the Ace team for their lack of proper promotions as even many Kollywood audiences weren’t unaware of the movie’s theatrical release.

Post-theatrical release, many viewers responded that Ace is a mediocre commercial drama, particularly noting a few draggy scenes in the second half.

Now, the Ace team seems to have repeated history, failing to create buzz about its OTT release. The film simply landed on Amazon Prime quite suddenly, without any buzz.




Nevertheless, those who missed Ace in theaters are now watching it on Amazon Prime and sharing their reactions across social media. It remains to be seen whether Ace will manage to garner positive responses from OTT audiences and achieve blockbuster success on OTT.
