When it comes to films hitting cinemas, we regularly see many movies coming around the same time. We have witnessed so many clashes over decades, especially on festivals.
Now, for the first time, we are witnessing a different sort of clash. It is among the OTT movies. Yes, the digital platform is set for its first notable ‘Digital Clash’. As many as four films are set to release around the same time, between a gap of two days.
The films in question are Shakuntala Devi, Yaara, Lootcase, and Raat Akeli Hai. Each one belongs to a different platform like Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, Disney Plus Hotstar and Netflix, respectively. It is a proper clash of the biggies (even though the actual projects are small). All these movies contain notable names also like Vidya Balan, Amit Sadh, Kunal Khemu, Nawazuddin Siddique, and Radhika Apte etc.
Among the four, three films (Shakuntala Devi, Lootcase and Raat Akeli Hai) will stream from July 31st. The remaining one will arrive a day earlier on July 30th itself.
The clash is attracting a lot of attention as each film looks intriguing and exciting based on the trailer. They also belong to different genres, which further boosts their appeal to the target audience. We have to wait and see which of these emerges a winner, in the end.
