Dada Postponement Buzz: Is Summer 2027 New Target?

Balakrishna in Dada facing Christmas release uncertainty

Christmas was supposed to bring Balakrishna back to theatres with Dada. But with the year-end release date approaching, the film may be facing a race against time.

The Gopichand Malineni directorial was officially announced for December 24, making it one of the notable releases lined up for the festive season. However, the latest industry buzz suggests that the film may not be ready in time.

As per industry buzz the shooting is reportedly taking longer than expected, leaving the team with limited time for post-production. Balakrishna’s injury and the break that followed are also said to have affected the schedule. With work still to be completed, wrapping up everything before Christmas could be a tough task.

There is now talk of the makers looking at Summer 2027 instead. A shift would mean Balakrishna missing the Christmas race and could also change the box-office equation, as Dada was expected to arrive alongside Nagarjuna’s King100.

Of course, a postponement is not official yet. December 24 remains the announced release date, and the makers are yet to clarify their plans. The next few weeks will be crucial in deciding whether Dada makes it to Christmas or asks fans to wait a little longer.
