PVR INOX recently faced some trouble while screening the shows of Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots as part of the ongoing Aamir Khan Film Festival. The festival was announced while Aamir celebrated his 60th birthday this month.
The shows for Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots were canceled despite that audiences booked their tickets in advance. A few shows were still available on Sunday afternoon and others who could not watch the film had to opt for refunds and go for other films of Aamir Khan.

An insider claimed that audiences were disappointed with everything that happened and the major reason was that the KDM was not provided to the theatres in time.
3 Idiots was also taken down from most theatres without any announcement and instead, the shows for Dil and Talaash were increased as a replacement.

The insider stated that the festival could have been planned better by giving more shows to the films that were expected to have a high demand.
Although the festival’s announcement led to a lot of excitement among the audience, a few of them were also not satisfied since a few of Aamir Khan’s films were not included in the list of 22 films that were supposed to get a re-release.

For now, there is no clarification on whether Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots will return to the big screen as part of the festival.
Show cancelations have not been a new thing over the years. But, unfortunately, the cancelations are happening at a time when a superstar’s cult classics are being re-released.
Theatres and the organizers of such festivals should now take steps to ensure that these problems are not repeated in the future.
Although PVR INOX has not shared any statement about the issue that happened with Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots, fans are expecting the cinema chain to get the problem resolved as soon as possible.
