
Loveyapa was released on 7 February and turned out to be a flop show as predicted by fans and film pundits. The lifeless and lethargic promotion itself had set this film up for a bland run.
Many netizens pointed out that the nepo kid cast of Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan lacked any charm. However, in his OTT debut Maharaj, Junaid was loved by all and it was indeed a success in its own lane.

The same was not the case with his big screen debut. When asked about the same to his father Aamir Khan, he also expressed his sorrow for the same.
He shared that he doesn’t get involved with his career choices but watches from far. He was 10 times more nervous for his son’s debut than the release of his own films.

But watching it fail has made him feel extremely heartbroken. Yet, he understands that in showbizz success and failure come and go.
He revealed that Junaid will be seen with Sai Pallavi in a romantic film soon. He has looked at the script and has high hopes with it.
