Bollywood has witnessed the rise of multiple celebrities whose family members were somehow linked to the film industry. One of them is Aamir Khan, who gained recognition over the years as Mr. Perfectionist and portrayed roles that were considered unique compared to others.
Despite being counted among the top stars of today’s world, the Taare Zameen Par star has struggled to deliver a hit for the last eight years. Back in 2022, his previous project, Laal Singh Chaddha, also failed to impress the audience and there have been many reasons behind the same.
Notably, the Dangal star is trending in the headlines after Rhea Chakraborty released a teaser for an episode of her podcast, Chapter 2. The actor can be spotted saying at one point that he wants to remove himself from the world of films and while Rhea refuses to believe the same, Khan replies that he is not lying.
Furthermore, the glimpse reveals that Aamir Khan gets emotional at one point as he takes a break. He additionally showers praise towards Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan, calling them handsome. He also says that the entire country would agree with what he is saying.
Khan’s last hit film was Dangal and starting from Thugs of Hindostan in 2018, Aamir’s arrival on the big screen is not being easily accepted by the public. After a break of two years, he will appear as a lead in Sitaare Zameen Par, which arrives at Christmas this year.
Aamir’s films have a habit of being postponed and although there have been no reports for the upcoming sports drama, one thing that might contribute to its failure is that it has been adapted from a Spanish film titled Champions.
Except for Drishyam 2, Indian audiences have hardly accepted remakes after the Covid-19 pandemic. The fate of Sitaare Zameen Par lies in the hands of the public, who are desperately looking for entertainment these days. Now only a good screenplay can mark the return of Aamir Khan.
