Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are reuniting after 3 Idiots and PK, as reported by Pinkvilla. Their previous collaborations changed the face of modern Bollywood—3 Idiots created a genre and PK broke the box office with its bold social commentary.
Now, after years of speculations, the two are in advanced talks for their third film together which will be a slice of life film with comedy and inspiration—Hirani’s style.

The untitled film is expected to go on floors in 2026 once Aamir finishes Sitaare Zameen Par which releases on June 20. Aamir is said to be very excited about the idea which will test him as an actor and give the audience something new and original.
Incidentally Hirani was also working on films with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal but the clash of schedules led to this reunion. Although, this is a big moment.

Hirani’s last film Dunki underperformed both critically and commercially—a rare failure for the otherwise impeccable director. With changing audience preferences and high expectations this is a test for both Hirani and Aamir.
Currently, Aamir is also in talks for a superhero film with Lokesh Kanagaraj. So, all eyes are now on this reunion to see if it can rekindle the magic.
