Rashmika Mandhana has commented on how Allu Arjun’s dedication to his role in Pushpa has gained her respect and appreciation. The actress has said that for 21 minutes in the film Allu Arjun had been wearing a saree.
He has done action in a saree, dance in a saree and talkie portions draped in a saree as well. Rashmika emphasizes that there will be no other star of this stature who will be doing this for a role.

But fans of Akshay Kumar have been triggered by this comment and they have pointed out that it has been done by Akshay Kumar pretty intensely in ‘Laxmii’. He portions of Akshay Kumar’s performance as a trans-woman in Laxmii were impressive.
But then again, Allu Arjun’s fans argue that it was nothing original and copied scene to scene from Raghava Lawrence’s performance in ‘Kanchana’ which was remade as ‘Laxmii’.

The fan war does not hold much value because after all, Laxmii was a box office failure and Pushpa 2 is a blockbuster success. Laxmii was even rated as low as 2.5 on IMDB and it does not come anywhere near Pushpa.
And for performances in Saree, there are multiple admirable performances from the likes of Kamal Hassan and Vijay Sethupathi long before ‘Laxmii’.
