Akshay Kumar Sky Force Republic Day Box Office

Sky Force has done well at the box office, collecting 61 crores in the first weekend, as per trade. Released on 24th January 2025, it rode on Republic Day celebrations and worked big time across India.

According to trade, Sky Force collected 12.25 crores on Day 1, 22 crores on Day 2 (a 75% jump) and 27.5 crores on Republic Day, taking the total to 61 crores in 3 days.

Trade says Sky Force has beaten Raees (26.30 crores) and is going to beat Padmaavat (32 crores). But is behind Pathaan (58 crores) and Fighter (41.20 crores) in Republic Day collections. But Sky Force is still in top 5 Republic Day earners.

While the numbers are impressive, trade analysts point out that Sky Force had a marketing strategy of heavily discounted tickets.

With prices ranging from 25 to 50. While this helped in footfalls, the gross numbers reported may be inflated when calculated at normal ticket prices.

Analysts say the actual net may be lower as the true earnings would be different due to discounts and self bookings.

Despite the marketing, Sky Force has done well, beaten Raees and may even beat Padmaavat in Republic Day collections. Akshay Kumar’s film is in top performers but as per trade the reported numbers may not be the net.
