Amitabh Bachchan has recently dropped a tweet confirming the speculations around Abhishek’s role in King. Abhishek will be playing the antagonist against Shah Rukh Khan. Both have shared screen in films like Happy New Year and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna in the past. But this venture is going to be an interesting one as Abhishek plays a strongly negative character against SRK.
King is set to release in 2025. It is supposed to be a one of its kind action thriller based on a mentor and disciples journey against harsh circumstances created by the Villain. It will also have Suhana Khan in the leading role. The action film is going to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and it has a huge budget of 200 crores. The film is inspired by Hollywood’s Leon: The Professional. It has high end action sequences for which the star cast has already been seriously training for some time.
The fans show great admiration for Abhishek being cast as the villain. He is believed to have performed well in negative roles in films like Breathe Into The Shadows, Ravan and Bob Biswas.
