Salman Khan’s The Battle of Galwan is reportedly set for a June 2026 release. The much-anticipated war drama is expected to complete shooting by December 2025, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama.
On November 3, Salman Khan shared the first look of the film through two intense images. His raw, fierce and blood-soaked avatar impressed fans and sparked buzz online about the release timeline.
Industry reports suggest that most of the major action blocks and challenging scenes have already been filmed. The remaining shoot will continue until December 2025, after which director Apoorva Lakhia will shift focus to full-scale post-production.
Earlier rumours hinted at a January or June 2026 release. The insider confirmed that January is no longer possible, while June 2026 is currently the front-runner. The team may also consider July or August 2026, depending on the release calendar.
Fans are curious to see whether Salman Khan will share a teaser when he turns 60 on December 27, 2025, much like Shah Rukh Khan did for his project. However, sources say there is no confirmed plan for a birthday release surprise.
Audience excitement continues to build as fans look forward to seeing Salman Khan in a serious military action role. In The Battle of Galwan, he plays Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, with Chitrangda Singh starring alongside him.
