Mere Husband Ki Biwi, which features Arjun Kapoor in the lead alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas this Friday, February 21.
While there are hardly any expectations from the upcoming film, distributors and theatre owners are seemingly not willing to give up. To attract a large number of audiences to the big screen on Day 1, the makers have decided to bring the offer of Buy One Get One at selected chains of PVR.
The advance booking for the film has already started and PVR revealed on a social media post that the BOGO offer will be available only for the first day. However, it remains to be seen if the offer can contribute to the success of Mere Husband Ki Biwi in any manner.
For now, the chances of Mere Husband Ki Biwi’s survival at the box office are too low. The major reason is Chhaava, which will undoubtedly give tough competition considering the response it has received in the first week so far.
The three main leads are not capable of pulling big crowds to theatres. Although Arjun was praised by a section of the public for his performance in Singham Again, people are still not interested in watching his solo film for now.
Bhumi Pednekar has hardly delivered any hit films over the last few years. The same thing can be said for Rakul Preet Singh, whose films have been receiving an average response until now.
The current situation has hinted that Mere Husband Ki Biwi will turn out to be a flop. The makers should have opted to release the film a few weeks later. But it’s too late now.
