CBFC Runs It’s Scissors On Bad Newz Kissing Scene

Bad Newz Jaanam Song

Dharma Productions’ Bad Newz is ready to entertain us in cinemas from 19 July. The film features Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk. Directed by Anand Tiwari the film shows the story of a pregnant woman, Saloni, with babies of two fathers. Yes, they even have a medical term for it! Heteropaternal superfecundation.

Bad Newz is a comic riot between the two men who fight for Saloni’s affection. But it recently gathered buzz over the intimate scenes between Vicky and Tripti. While many liked their chemistry, some found the excessive intimacy cringe and called it the ‘50 Shades Of Bollywood’. However, CBFC has shown a strong stand on the scenes and asked the makers to trim it. Famously known as the Censor Board, Central Board Of Film Certification often interjects with films and asks makers to change or cut scenes altogether.

Now, 27 seconds of kissing scenes will be dropped from Bad Newz in its final reel. CBFC also guided them to make anti-alcohol static larger in the disclaimer. The board keeps exerting its authority on films time and again, but some netizens are finding this move as a relief from all the cringe and others are sad to miss out on the sizzling chemistry of Vicky and Tripti. Their sultry track Janam has already become the talk of the B-Town, funnily enough fans are asking “Where is Katrina?”

Stay tuned for more updates about the film and its reviews.
