Dharma Productions has officially released the first teaser for their new film, Chaand Mera Dil. Starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, the movie seems like a targeted attempt to attract the youth audience. It seems to be made for those who enjoyed the intense drama of Kabir Singh and Saiyaara.
The teaser shows two people deeply in love who go through different phases of their relationship. However, what exactly is happening in their lives is not revealed so one can only make guesses.
Even though the video shows Ananya and Lakshya in several intimate and emotional moments, that natural spark seems to be missing. Also, Lakshya isn’t giving that lover boy vibes one expects from this kind of character. Ananya Panday has done such roles before so she looks natural.
The teaser features all the standard elements of a love story. We see the actors kissing, hugging, and then arguing in various scenes so basically it feels like a random love story rather than something new. There’s a visible attempt to sell the movie by including hot scenes in the promo to make up for the lack of a strong script.
Moreover, the music played in the background is quite underwhelming. For a romantic project under a big banner, the audience usually expects a hit song, but the title track does not leave a strong impression.
However, the makers have not given away the actual plot yet so one can expect some surprises in the film. Plus, the trailer will give a clearer idea about what’s fresh for the audience in this love story. The movie is scheduled to release on 22 May 2026.
