Dharma Productions has officially announced the release date of its upcoming romantic drama Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya in the lead roles.
Directed by Vivek Soni, the film will hit theatres on April 10, 2026, ending months of speculation about its release. The update was confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media.
Produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta, Chand Mera Dil marks the first on-screen collaboration between Ananya Panday and Lakshya. Initially planned for a 2025 release, the film was delayed and is now scheduled for summer 2026.
Described as a story exploring youthful emotions and modern love, Chand Mera Dil continues Dharma’s focus on romantic films rooted in contemporary themes.
The announcement coincides with Ananya Panday’s 27th birthday, as her upcoming projects have been generating strong buzz. There was also talk that Dharma would reveal the first look of her next film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Kartik Aaryan. However, only a behind-the-scenes video from a song shoot was shared.
While details about the film’s music and supporting cast remain under wraps, much of its freshness may depend on how director Vivek Soni presents Ananya and Lakshya’s pairing within Dharma’s familiar romantic framework.
