Next 500 Crore Film To Release On Feb 14

Vicky Kaushal Chhaava

Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films are all set to hit another sixer after the success of Munjya and Stree 2 with Chhaava. Meanwhile, audiences have to wait a little bit more to enjoy the historical action drama on the big screen.

While it was scheduled to arrive on December 6, the film has been now postponed to February 14 next year. This is possibly because of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which will be released the previous day.

Considering the hype of Pushpa, the makers have made a good decision to move the film to another date.

The subject is also different because of which viewers have to be prepared with a fresh mind without the memories of another good film.

The news of the postponement has been trending ever since the trailer of Pushpa 2 was released online.

The scale of the Telugu film is so huge that there is no chance for Chhaava to stand on top with heavy collections.

On the other hand, Maddock Films is not willing to compromise with the reputation they currently hold among the audience. Notably, director Laxman Utekar also has a good track record with projects like Luka Chuppi and Mimi.

The latest decision will help the film to get a decent start on the first day. Moreover, people have predicted that it could gross around Rs. 500 crores. But that will entirely depend on the content.

There could be some hurdles if claims of historical inaccuracies come up in any manner.

Based on the life of Sambhaji, the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the teaser was praised by the audience when it came out in August this year.

Furthermore, the film features Akshaye Khanna playing Aurangzeb alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale.
