Having been over a week since the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, both the films are going steady at the box office. Raees in particular is doing very well after crossing the 100 crore mark in just one week and has now even gone over the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh’s previous hits ‘Don 2’ and ‘Ra.One.’

Despite this, Shah Rukh’s Raees is lagging behind in terms of earnings as compared to Salman Khan’s Sultan. While Raees earned a gross 215.7 crore in its first week, Sultan had earned a whopping 428.89 crore in the same time. The likely reason for this is Sultan was a solo release while Raees is facing a fierce completion from Kaabil which was released on the same day.
Taking this into consideration, Raees is doing very well in the second week and is likely to have an increase earning with the upcoming Pakistan release but not match to Salman’s box office tsunami though.
