Director Aditya Dhar has dismissed reports claiming that Dhurandhar 2 has been postponed. The rumours began after some sources suggested reshoots were planned. However, it appears the director is satisfied with the final cut.
Aditya reacted to a review shared on Instagram Stories and thanked the reviewer. He ended the message by confirming the release date and wrote, “See you in cinema on 19th March.” This statement effectively put an end to speculation around delays.
Many online users criticised how the rumours spread despite clarity from the makers. They pointed out that the release date had already been confirmed through an official poster. Aditya has not commented on whether any reshoots are still under consideration.
With the release locked, the industry is now focused on the box office clash with Toxic. The film stars Yash and is also releasing in Hindi. North Indian theatres may split shows if audience interest remains balanced.
Yash’s fans have begun demanding more screens for Toxic. They cited past instances where equal show allocation was allegedly denied. This has added further tension ahead of the release.
Trade experts on social media claim Toxic could receive an Adults Only certificate from CBFC. If confirmed, this could draw curiosity and intensify competition for Dhurandhar 2.
Bihar exhibitor Vishek Chauhan said the clash would hurt single and two-screen theatres. He stated that exhibitors may be forced to choose one film, calling the situation bad for business.
Theatre owners believe Dhurandhar 2 will open strong due to its existing fan base. However, they feel Toxic could gain momentum if the content connects well. With just weeks to go, all eyes are on March 19.
