Fear of Pushpa 2: Film Jumps to Shivaji Jayanti

The uncertainty around the release date of Vicky Kaushal’s highly-anticipated historical drama ‘Chhaava’ seems to be building up ever since the makers decided to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on December 6th.

Since then, Maddock Films has speculated on several potential dates like December 20, January 10, and February 19.

According to reports, the makers are thinking of releasing the film on February 19th, 2025 on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti.

A release on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti would ensure that the film resonates well with the Maharashtra audiences.

Fans on social media have been discussing the possibility of the film being released on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti.

One user said, “February would be perfect; it aligns with Shivaji Jayanti and celebrates Sambhaji Maharaj’s legacy.”

Others, however, have reservations and concerns regarding the release date, claiming that the collections and success of the film can be impacted in case of an already crowded February release, alongside films like ‘Deva’ and ‘Raid 2’.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, and Divya Dutta, ‘Chhaava’ has generated significant hype ever since the release of its teaser on August 14th.
