Kartik Aaryan seems to have discovered his love for the franchise model after the success of his film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. The actor is reportedly in talks with Bhushan Kumar to acquire the ‘Aashiqui’ title from Mukesh Bhat’s ‘Vishesh Films’.
Kartik Aaryan is set to star in the franchise under Anurag Basu’s direction. The actor wants to revive the project by completely incorporating it into the iconic ‘Aashiqui’ franchise, starting with a name change from ‘Tu Aashiqui Hai’.
The actor seems to have realised that his recent solo projects have struggled to leave a significant impact on the Box Office. It looks like the success of BB2 and BB3 has made the actor stick to the safety of franchises.
Kartik is reportedly urging producer Bhushan Kumar to revive the project under the banner of T-series by acquiring its rights.
But it seems like his desires will be delayed due to complicated legal issues between T-Series and Vishesh Films over the title rights. Anurag Basu’s hectic schedule due to reshoots could also delay the process.
Social media has been flooded with comments ever since this revelation. While many are excited about the prospect of another love story under the ‘Aashiqui’ name, some also have doubts about the need for a revival.
Apart from reviving the Aashiqui lineup, Kartik is also exploring the possibilities of working on a sequel to ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’.
