ground-zero

Emraan Hashmi’s highly awaited action-thriller Ground Zero has finally arrived in theaters, and it’s already stirring strong emotions on social media.

Set against the tense backdrop of Srinagar in 2001, the story follows Officer Dubey as he bravely confronts a growing wave of terrorism led by Jaish-e-Mohammed’s Rana Tahir Nadeem, also known as Ghazi Baba.

Amid the ongoing situation in the country surrounding the recent terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, viewers were fueled with enthusiasm and patriotism while watching the film.

Several critics and viewers praised how well the film has been portrayed depicting real-life events and to top it up, Emraan Hashmi stole the show with his terrific action and performance.

The no-nonsense thriller starts right from the first frame and is a must-watch for all Indians as described in various reviews.

Various reviews have also talked about how the film lacks content and is inconsistent. Though the patriotic feeling is roaring at the moment, many think that the film is ordinary and has nothing much to offer.

Many users have also complained about the screenplay of the film which makes it a tough watch overall. Visually, the film manages to convey a certain raw intensity, but it falls short on polish.

The action sequences are noisy rather than gripping, and the pacing suffers due to hasty editing as stated in several reviews. Unfortunately, the music and background score doesn’t do much to elevate the mood or emotion, making them one of the weaker aspects of the film.

All in all, Ground Zero may be a good watch given the current situation and might inject some adrenaline in the viewers. Going by the reviews, the film is expected to have a decent opening at the theatres but only time will tell how the film will perform.
