Ajay Devgn has created his own Devil’s Universe with films like Shaitaan and the recent release Maa. Varun Dhawan gained attention with Bhediya, and Prabhas is now stepping into the horror franchise space.
The trend gained momentum after the re-release of Tumbbad. When it first released seven years ago, it collected just 12 crore. But on re-release, it earned a massive 50 crore, proving the rising craze for horror.
Tumbbad is considered one of the finest creations of Hindi cinema. With its eerie folklore-based story, it avoided jump scares yet delivered pure horror. The film proved that horror made with vision can receive immense love from audiences.
