Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with another season. Amitabh Bachchan has returned as the host once again, displaying the same energy that has been an important part of the game show for all these years.
The first episode witnessed Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol, and Preity Zinta appearing as guests to promote Batwara 1947. This is the first time that Sunny has been a part of the show compared to Aamir, who has already participated multiple times.
Meanwhile, Big B revealed something about Aamir on the show that is now grabbing a lot of attention. He stated that Aamir could have been the first person to win Rs. 1 crore on the show, which did not happen for certain reasons.
Amitabh Bachchan said that Aamir once came on the show and won Rs. 50 lakh. The next question could have helped him win Rs. 1 crore. But when Big B announced the same, the siren started playing, and the game was over. Notably, Aamir was dissatisfied and asked Big B to show him the question for Rs. 1 crore.
However, Big B did not show the question. Once the show was over, Aamir was shown the question, and the superstar gave the correct answer. Aamir was surprised to know the same, following which Big B praised his knowledge.
The details shared by Big B also raised a new debate on social media. Some alleged that it could be a conspiracy against Aamir by some random person. But Aamir’s fans dismissed the same, saying that Aamir and Big B have known each other for a long time and the latter is not the kind of person who would intentionally target Aamir.
Interestingly, the episode also highlights a larger issue with KBC’s celebrity specials. Viewers already know that celebrity guests are likely to win a decent amount for charity. This can make the questions feel overly simple and the situations somewhat staged, reducing the genuine suspense that once defined the show.
The bigger disappointment is KBC slowly moving away from its trademark simplicity. The forced drama, dramatic camera work, and background music can make the show feel like a typical reality show. What once stood out as a clean question-and-answer format built around knowledge is now also weighed down by excessive advertising and repeated sponsor mentions.
However, a glimpse of the next episode offers some hope that the show could return to its original strength by connecting with ordinary people through Amitabh Bachchan and its simple, knowledge-driven format.
