The teaser of the Hindi remake of Telugu political drama ‘Prasthanam’ with the same title was released recently after the movie was lying in the cans for several years. Sanjay Dutt is playing the lead role in the remake.
However, the long-delayed Telugu remake seems to have gotten itself into legal troubles. A reputed production company Shemaroo Entertainments Ltd. has sent legal notices to Sanjay Dutt and the producers claiming to have acquired the remake rights of the movie.
So, no one other than Shemaroo has the right to remake the film in Hindi and if anyone does, it’s illegal said the spokesperson from the above-mentioned production company.
The company further claims to have notified the same to Sanjay Dutt, earlier. But, they went on to remake the film, anyway. Well, let’s see if Sanjay Dutt and his team can pass through this and thwart the legal procedure.
